What We're Looking For

Strong submissions should be engaging, educational, and relevant to PA practice. We’re looking for cases that demonstrate:

An engaging or unexpected clinical story
Thoughtful diagnostic reasoning
Evidence-informed management
Meaningful clinical learning points
Practical take-home messages for future patient care

Your case does not need to be rare or unusual. We are looking for cases that offer a valuable clinical lesson.

What Makes a Standout Presentation?

Your fellow CAPA 2026 attendees will evaluate each presentation across six criteria. Each criterion will be scored from 1 to 5.

Relevance & Clinical Impact	Meaningful lesson or insight relevant to PA practice.
Clinical Reasoning	Thoughtful diagnostic reasoning and clinical decision-making.
Content & Evidence	Accurate, evidence-supported content and appropriate management.
Engagement & Originality	Interesting, unexpected, memorable, or uniquely presented.
Delivery & Time Management	Clear, engaging, well-organized, and within the 10-minute limit.
Take-Home Message	Practical lessons that can be applied to future patient care.

Before You Submit

Base your submission on a real clinical case.
Do not include identifying patient information.
Include appropriate evidence and references.
Ensure your case can be developed into a 10-minute presentation.
Ensure your case is suitable for an audience of PAs and PA students.

Patient Privacy: All submitted cases must be appropriately de-identified. Presenters are responsible for ensuring their presentation complies with applicable privacy and confidentiality requirements.
