We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports medicine and orthopaedics, and a passion for delivering exceptional and timely patient care. This role requires working collaboratively with our physicians, allied healthcare professionals and administrative staff to ensure the coordinated delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct detailed patient assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations.
• See patients for both scheduled and urgent appointments.
• Manage sports injuries, musculoskeletal conditions and pre/post-operative care for orthopaedic surgery patients.
• Administer musculoskeletal joint injections, with or without ultrasound guidance (training provided).
• Perform venipuncture procedures for blood tests or PRP injections.
• Fit patients with custom and off-the-shelf orthopaedic braces.
• Assist in procedures, both in the clinic and the operating room.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records, utilizing EMR to thoroughly document patient encounters and communications.
• Educate patients about conditions, treatments and preventive strategies to promote long-term health and wellness.
• Triage incoming referrals to appropriate physicians.
• Implement and update clinical protocols.
• Participate in the development and implementation of medical directives.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Health Sciences (BHSc(PA)) or Master's degree (MPAS) from accredited university program.
• Certification and membership in good standing with CAPA.
• Professional liability insurance.
• Two years clinical experience in orthopaedics or primary care preferred. New grads welcome to apply.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Proficiency in recognizing and managing clinical scenarios that require urgent medical attention.
• Commitment to high-quality and safe patient care, demonstrating adherence to clinical best practices.
• Exceptional organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Compliance with privacy and confidentiality requirements.
• Experience in EMR systems.
