ECHO at UHN Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Paediatrics
I would like to provide you and your team with information about the ECHO Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) program. ECHO TBI covers topics related to persisting TBI symptoms, in children and adults, as well as diagnosis of acute and chronic concussion. The ECHO program is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive approach to TBI diagnosis and symptom management across the continuum. We would like to inform you that our ECHO TBI program includes a Module beginning on March 4th focusing on Pediatrics.
What is ECHO?
- Links providers with each other and with an interprofessional specialist team
- Participants earn CPD hours
- No cost (MOH funded)
- Online
Each Session includes: A short didactic & real (de-identified) patient case discussions to gain practical tips to care for patients.
Who can attend? All primary care providers (including MD, Physician assistants, NP, RN, allied health - physical therapists, social workers, occupational therapists, pharmacists, etc.) are invited to register.

Times: All sessions are Wednesdays from 5 – 6:00 p.m.

- March 11th Assessment and management of infant and toddler mild to severe TBI - Miriam Beauchamp, guest speaker
- March 18th No session- Break
- March 25th Assessment and management of children/youth moderate/severe TBI - Peter Rumney, guest speaker
- April 1st No session- Break
- April 8th Clinical management of children/youth concussion - Kristian Goulet
- April 15th Return to school and play after TBI - Tara Baldisera & Shannon Kenrick-Rochon
- April 22nd "Rowan’s Law” – Concussion protections for children and youth - Dan Cass, guest speaker
