Born in Grand-Mère, Québec, Jean-Nicolas was raised in the Quebec City region before moving to the Montreal South Shore to pursue a career as an international level athlete. Upon retiring from his sport, he signed up with the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) as a medical technician. After spending some time in Valcartier, he worked several jobs in Borden and Ottawa including overseas deployment. A graduate from the CAF PA program, he currently completes his Master in physician assistant studies with UNMC. Jean-Nicolas was appointed to the CAPA Quebec Chapter Vice-President from 2014 to 2017. He his currently employed at the CAF Health services center in St-Jean.
